ADELAIDA (2017)

Adelaida and Roberto were born in 1931. She in Casilda (Argentina) and he in Basel (Switzerland). At 5 years of age, Roberto and his family  moved to San Carlos de Bariloche (Patagonia, Argentina), and he immediately realized it was his place in the world. He went to Casilda to study Agronomy in 1946, without knowing that a few days later he would meet Adelaida. A few months later they began their courtship and in 1952 they got married. Adelaida only knew Bariloche from the photos Roberto had showed her saying that it was "a very beautiful place with a very large lake". After their honeymoon, leaving her family and friends in Casilda, Adelaida arrived to Bariloche (10,000 inhabitants) in the middle of winter wearing a skirt and heels. They had three children, nine grandchildren (including me) and two great-grandchildren. Sixty-five years later Roberto has already passed away but Adelaida brings him to the present at every moment.
